Bluetooth Adapter Troubleshooting Guide [ACB75AU]

This guide is to be used if you are encountering the following problems with your Targus Bluetooth Adapter [ACB75AU] in Windows 10/11:

  • Audio Distortion or 'Skipping'
  • A lack of ability to connect to any device
  • Repeated disconnects from any attached device
For issues encountered on other versions of Windows, please contact our technical support team.

Please follow the steps below to resolve your issue:

  1. Disconnect your Bluetooth adapter
  2. Right Click on the Windows Start Button in the bottom left corner

  3. Click on Apps and Features

  4. Uninstall the Widcomm Bluetooth software at the bottom of the list by clicking on it and selecting ‘Uninstall’. Follow the prompts until the uninstallation is complete. If you cannot find the Widcomm Software in this list, please proceed straight to Step 6.

  5. Restart your Computer
  6. Download the Bluetooth drivers using the link below. The driver file will automatically start downloading.

  7. Open the downloaded installer, and follow the prompts until the installation is completed. Click 'Finish'.

  8. Connect your Bluetooth adapter
